The Bombay excessive courtroom has quashed a criticism in opposition to Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Meetu Singh filed by actress Rhea Chakraborty. Nonetheless, the criticism in opposition to one other sister Priyanka Singh has not been quashed by the Excessive courtroom. The division bench of justice SS Shinde and justice MS Karnik pronounced orders on the petition filed by SSR’s sisters– Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh– who had been searching for quashing of an FIR registered in opposition to them by Rhea.
Rhea Chakraborty had registered a criticism in opposition to Priyanka, Meetu, and a Delhi-based physician for forging and procuring “a fake” medical prescription for the late actor. In a six-page-long criticism filed on September 7, 2020, Rhea had cited that Sushant handed away 5 days after he obtained a prescription whereby he was unlawfully prescribed sure medicine by his sisters and Dr. Tarun Kumar of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. On the idea of Rhea’s criticism, Mumbai Police had then registered an FIR in opposition to Priyanka, Meetu, and Dr. Tarun Kumar below sections of the IPC and Narcotic Medication and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on September 8, 2020.
On October 6, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters had filed a petition via advocate Madhav Thorat within the Bombay Excessive Courtroom, searching for that the FIR filed in opposition to them by Bandra Police be quashed.
Earlier, the decision was reserved on January 8, 2021.
