The Bank NPAs are the Loans of friends of THE Government
If 18% is the NPA of a loan book of PSU of approx 200lac crore then the loss is 36lac crore!! Who is going to fill this gap? How much will the securities offered by the borrowers fetch? For example a single business group spread across its various business has a NPA of 300000cr. Its value remaining in business may not be more than 10000cr at best. So the loss may be 290000cr. How will this be handled? What is the responsibility of RBI as agency which inspects the bank books? Why no RBI official has been suspended in the last so many years? If PSU banks fail it would cause a domino effect. The taps to shadow banking is controlled by banks. If banks cuts off supply onward chain will break
