The Wistron, Kolar outlet should be closed down immediately and the staff should be debarred from future employment. Both Central and State Governments should compensate without delay.

What was labor department doing? Why no FIR on these officers for dereliction of duty?

Just imagine you are not paid salary for 3 months, during festival season, and you don't have any other source of income.

They should have done peaceful protest. Since workers union wasn't existing it may have turned violent.

Sad event. Brand India will get affected. A judicial probe, fast-tracked to bring out the truth apart from reinforcing faith would be the best way out.

I guess all the sub contractors are kiths and kins of politicians who thought they can grab money from Apple and treat their workers like slaves ( previously known as Jamindaari paddati in Kannada)
But nowadays everyone are aware of dignity of life and labour laws.
Hope one fine day you your channel will have names of promoters of all 6 sub contractors
And if possible explain which political family they belong to

Why are we copying China’s method to combat China ? Modi govt is trying to crush the rights of labours for productivity which is against our constitutional values.

You did not give us the reasons for this vandalism. Were labour laws followed? Were the workers paid on time? Most companies flaunt the laws. One is literally forced to work extra hours without any payment. And today the govt has clandestinely brought in labour laws to force people to work from 8 hrs to even 12 hours just to get foreign companies to invest in India. Indians are going to be slaves of these foreign companies. Even in America the law states 8 working hours. For the rest you are paid overtime. In India now the concept of overtime is gone.

The sadness of being Indians is that they always think in the shadow of China. If wind blows, it must be China farting. If you could not get out of the fear mode, you will never amount to anything. That is because accusing China for anything is so convenient. It allows you to ignore the root cause of any of your social issues and walk away. After all, it is China doing this to me so let's just protest against China. There is nothing else to do. It is China!

The fact that many rioters were not employees and almost all were contract workers says a lot. There is definitely a CCP hand here, they can not face a man to man war so are involved in such low life activities.

If apple was interested in following laws, they could manufacture on their own. The vandalism of the management if often ignored. Protection of labour is a must after the Unions have been defanged

Neoliberalism is creating one large world plantation and we are all their slaves. Something needs to change. Fair wages, benefits and work hours for people. There is no need for the pain they are creating on the workers. It is based a greed for the few and pain for the many.

All they care about was the damages on lifeless machines. Apple and Wistron don't care on the life of their workers that they ruined.

    What is an urban Maoist?
Same as an urban naxal. A convenient way to not take responsibility for – poor governance, unfair trade practices and corruption.
