Dylan Farrow describes disturbing habits by Woody Allen in new HBO doc: ‘He was all the time searching me’
Dylan Farrow appeared on the four-part HBO docuseries Allen v. Farrow Sunday evening, the place she spoke of her relationship with Woody Allen, her adoptive father whom Farrow alleges sexually abused her as a baby. The fees have been first levied in opposition to Allen in 1992, however after a custody battle denied Allen visitation rights, Dylan’s mom, actress Mia Farrow, declined to pursue legal costs. Whereas Allen has repeatedly denied the allegations within the almost 30 years since they have been first made, in Allen v. Farrow, Farrow describes a disturbing relationship along with her father.
“I mean, I worshipped him. He was so funny and he made me feel so special. That’s where things get really, really complicated, because threaded throughout all of those good times, there was a lot more going on. Every time he showed up at the apartment, like a magnet, he would just come straight to me. Intense affection all the time,” Farrow mentioned, including, “I was always in his clutches. He was always hunting me.”
Farrow first opened up publicly in regards to the alleged abuse in a 2014 letter wherein she wrote, “I didn’t like when he would stick his thumb in my mouth. I didn’t like it when I had to get in bed with him under the sheets when he was in his underwear.” Whereas the documentary has but to air Farrow talking particularly in regards to the sexual abuse she allegedly suffered, in two of the extra disturbing moments from the present, Farrow spoke about each of those conditions.
“I have memories of getting into bed with him. He was in his underwear, and I’m in my underwear, cuddling,” Farrow mentioned. “I remember his breath on me. He would just wrap his body around me, very intimately.”
And Farrow described Allen doing far more than merely sticking his thumb in her mouth.
“I remember sitting on the steps with him in the country house. There was nobody else around, and he was directing me on how to suck his thumb,” Farrow mentioned, “telling me what to do with my tongue. And I think that lasted a while. It felt like a long time.”
